The festival first. The city too.
A guide to comedy festivals and the cities they happen in.
What the Guide is
The Comedy Festival Guide follows comedy festivals around the world: stand-up, improv and sketch festivals, and the fringes where comedy plays among the other arts. 83 festivals are followed now, 65 of them with dates ahead as of 16 October 2026.
Each guide starts with the festival, its dates, its rooms and the comedians connected to it, and goes on to the city around it: things to do between shows, where to eat and drink, the way back after a late show, where to stay and a budget built from your own prices.
Where the facts come from
Dates, rooms, hours, fares and rules come from each festival's and each place's own site, and each guide lists its sources with the date they were checked. Festivals change their plans: the festival's own site has the last word, so confirm there before you book.
